The Rise of Female Rappers in Hip Hop

Whether people like it or not there will be female rappers ready to take over Hip Hop.

In October, Cardi B’s hit single Bodak Yellow topped the US Billboard hot 100 charts for three consecutive weeks although now not number 1, it is still within the top 3.

Will this be Cardi’s one hit wonder or is there a lot more to expect from the Bronx rapper? She has come a very long way and might make some serious moves for the future of female rap but she can’t single handedly do this.

What about Nicki Minaj? She is normally known for her features with a male rapper but when she is solo, she is more steered into the pop section.

Remy Ma, Lil Kim, Missy Elliot, the list is endless but why weren’t they named in the Forbes Richest Rappers in Hip Hop list?!

Here Voice of Westminster Entertainment expert Journalist gives her views on the Hip Hop Industry.
